Reports Help

You are provided with several 'standard' reports for viewing and analyzing the Repairs you have. There are also reports for any Inventory, OS's, etc. The steps outlined here work for each of them.

First you have to Set The Report Data. From the Main Menu Select Reports then Set Report Data
Set The Report Data

Enter the data for the type of report you want to run. For example, if you are going to print an Estimate for a single repair you will want to enter the Service ID. To run a report type, for example, to list all repair revenue for a month, you will enter the Beginning Date and the ending date for the Report
You can manually enter the date as in 0401 (the program will default to the current year) or you can select the date from the elicpse button.

Click OK. Then

Select on the main menu, select Reports/Report Manager

Expand the report type you want, select the report and click Print, Select Print again on the next window to Preview the Report on your screen.

You have the option to view the information on your screen (default), Print the report to your local or network printer, or save the report as .pdf file. These changes are selected after you have 'printed' or viewed the document onto your screen.

If you get this...
No Records Found...you entered the incorrect parameters or that data isn't there.

When you first run a report a common dialog box appears with these choices along with a 'Preview' option. Clicking OK with the 'Preview' option checked will show the report on your screen. If you are satisfied with the results you can at this point Print the entire report to your printer, select which pages to print, or elect to 'Save As' a PDF file on your computer or network. These options are available under the Report Preview's File Menu.

Before printing a report you must first Set the Report Parameters. This is done from the Main Menu by selecting Reports, then Set the Report Parameters. You will then see a dialog window to allow you to select the parameters, or options, available for the reports. Not all options apply to all reports, so it is ok if a parameter is left blank...if the report doesn't use it.

Let's look at this a little more closely...suppose you want to run a report that is 'filtered' by a date range. In the Set Report Parameters Window you will enter the Start Date and End Date of the report, you can do this by manually entering the date (you don't need to enter the '/' in the date) close this window and select the report from the Report/Report Manager window, then simply click Print.

Note: You only need to enter the Report Parameters one time as they will be used by any reports using them. For example, if you enter the Start Date of 010111 (January 1, 2011) and an end date of 013111 (January 31, 2011) all reports you run will use those dates.

What If We Need Additional Reports, or Want To Change These Reports?

You have the ability to Create, Change, or Delete any Report. there is a seperate Report Help file accessible after 

Any changes or additions can to be requested through Corporate Support Services. Additional reports are available at $100 per report and changes are available for $50 per report. Naturally any errors will be corrected at no charge.
